Elect Alexandra Caldwell

Town Councillor Ward One

Pragmatic | Strategic | Committed

Alexandra has called Ward 1 home for nearly 20 years. Her experience in the highly regulated aviation industry has fuelled her skills in examining facts, developing consensus and driving solutions.

The issues confronting Ward 1 are as diverse as Oakville itself. From traffic and development issues to the need for more community services to safer streets and enhanced green space, every sector of our community merits the advocacy of a strong local voice.

A seat on Council is about hard work, dedication, and a commitment to community service. That’s what Alexandra brings to the table.

─── WHAT I’M FOCUSED ON ───

What Matters to Ward 1

Read about all of Alexandra’s priorities to make Ward One more liveable. Here are just three.

01. Livability

Growth That Works for Residents

Like the rest of Oakville, Ward One is growing and with that growth come the challenges of disruptions of all kinds.

Alexandra is focused on reducing construction disruption, supporting diverse housing options, protecting public spaces, and preserving the heritage that gives our neighbourhoods their character.

Just as importantly, we need to ensure the information we rely on to plan for growth reflects the latest findings from experts on long-term population trends, housing, employment and land needs analyses..

02. Community

Stronger Connections Across Ward 1

Strong communities are built when residents, local organizations, and Town Hall can communicate and work together.

Alexandra wants to improve communication with residents, support a Bronte resident advisory group, and champion a Library & Community Hub for Ward 1.

03. Active Living

More Ways to Move, Create & Participate

Ward 1 should offer more opportunities for residents of all ages to stay active, connect, and take part in community life. Alexandra is focused on expanding connected trails and pathways, supporting the Bronte Village Skating Loop, and strengthening access to arts, culture, and community programming.
